Egyptian Banking Institute Announces “The Future Of FinTech And Latest Digitalization Trends” Field Trip

The Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI), established by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) in 1991, recently announced that it’s organizing a field trip called “The Future of FinTech and Latest Digitalization Trends” that will take place in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from the 11th to the 19th of November 2019.
This exclusive journey was specifically designed for administrators of the Digital Banking, ICT and Internal Audit departments in Egypt, and its purpose is to allow applicants to visit the financial institutions and major banks to shed some light on modern technologies – especially FinTech – in order to identify successful practices and applications in that sector to further boost the Egyptian banking ecosystem in the proper direction and prepare it for the future of finance.
The cost per participant will be $4500 and includes: Five-star accommodation in Singapore and Malaysia for a single room including bed and breakfast, internal travels during both visits as well as a tour of Kuala Lumpur City in Malaysia. The cost does not include the following airline tickets: Cairo – Singapore, Singapore - Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur – Cairo. Visa details and issuance process is done through participants’ banks, where for Singapore the cost, information and visa issuance steps are provided and for Malaysia, the visa is issued upon arrival however a security inquiry is needed, which can be obtained from the Tahrir complex in Cairo. To participate in this field trip, candidates should send their names to their corresponding bank by the 12th of September 2019. It should be noted that the EBI stated in their official announcement that agreements between the Egyptian Banking Institute and the companies and banks to visit Singapore and Malaysia are still liable to change.
