Singapore FinTech Festival 2019: A Meeting of the Minds

The 2019 edition of the world’s largest financial technology event is almost here! The Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) is set to take place from the 11th to the 15th of November in Singapore, where the world’s brightest and most influential minds from the global FinTech community will be attending the week-long festival, largely considered the leading hub at the forefront of FinTech innovation.

The 2018 edition of the SFF saw many satisfied speakers and participants connect, learn and access new opportunities in the thriving field of FinTech, where around 45,000 attendees from 130 countries flocked in to unlock the industry’s full potential. Last year’s event saw many prominent public figures most notably the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde and the Minister for Education of Singapore & Board member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Ong Ye Kung.

This year’s event is just as passionate and ambitious as the last one, with a lineup that speaks volumes in and of itself, featuring distinguished speakers that include dignitaries, luminaries, industry titans, experts, innovators and many more. The fourth SFF this year is defined by four underlying themes that will aim to empower the FinTech community to connect, collaborate and co-create. These themes are Sustainability, Finance & Tech, Future of Finance, Investment & Global Markets Opportunities and finally Exponential Technologies.

The agenda will aim to discuss issues related to sustainable finance, investment opportunities and challenges in climate change while providing insights on potential tech-enabled solutions in line with the first theme. Moreover, the second theme will focus on innovative ideas relevant to the future of market infrastructure, banking, capital markets and insurance. Global market opportunities to be discussed will tackle the trend of rising digital banks, cybersecurity technology and threats, updates on the global market outlook and much more. Furthermore, emerging technologies will be brought to light through discussions about the impact of AI applications on financial services, Blockchain technology, Cloud adoption and several more cutting-edge topics.

2019 should prove to be an even more fruitful year for the global FinTech ecosystem, where the SFF will inspire FinTech players from all over the world and drive the financial ecosystem forward through visionaries and thought leadership executives from financial institutions, FinTech companies, venture capital firms, central banks, regulators and academia.

FinTech Egypt is looking forward to participate in the leading FinTech festival this year, and we hope you can join us at Singapore FinTech Festival 2019.
