Egypt’s First Artificial Intelligence Faculty launched at Kafr El Sheikh University

Kafr El Sheikh University has just positioned itself at the forefront of new educational initiatives by announcing the first ever artificial intelligence (AI) faculty in Egypt. This huge step enables the university to introduce modern specializations such as nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and human development, offered through a four-year bachelor’s degree in industrial sciences. Enrollment will begin for the 2019/2020 academic year and it currently accepts students who chose Math as a focus in their high school (Thanaweya Aama) curriculum.

Head of Kafr El Sheikh University Maged Al Kamary asserted in media statements out to local outlets that apart from the main aim of introducing future-centric specializations, the programme was also created to enable the adoption of new teaching methods that rely on innovative & interactive digital technology . http://www.kfs.edu.eg/engkfs/displaytopic.aspx?topic=76846

The Faculty of Artificial Intelligence was incorporated in collaboration with UAE’s Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), in hopes of teaching and providing skilled labor for the new & emerging technology sectors. The new faculty joins the other 22 diverse faculties available in the Kafr El Sheikh University, which itself was founded in 2006.
